There is chaos in my sketchbooks! Currently I have #10 and #8 which are like 1/4 full and fresh #11. This is because I kinda thematically separated them. #8 is for figure drawings, #9 was for inktober, #10 is for copies of other artists and #11 will be jusst another regular sketchbook. Also I fell in love eith these Moleskine Cachier sketchbooks so i will be using them for some time. Paperblanks are awesome, but a bit expensive for my doodling.
Also after a half year of trying different software I have bought Manga studio (Clip studio paint). Seems like solid alternative to photoshop. There are some performance problems and tablet driver problems, but nothing that serious. If you dont need texture brushes, i say go for Paint Tool SAI.

Sketchbooks 5,6 finished
Wow, so much have happened since the last journal entry. And it has been more than a year! So, first my sketchbook update.
Sketchbook 5 is done. Same size as Number 4. At the same time finished small sketchbook 6 with gestures. I am halfway through number 7 and prepared separate number 8 (a big one) for live figure drawings. I also started super miniature sketcbook which is more or less useless and slightly bigger one that was a souvenier from Biennale 2015 - All The Worlds Futures. Yep, its chaos.
I finished 5 oil paintings and hopefully there will be two more from autumn figure drawing semester. I don't think there will be more as I start
Lifedrawing
Half a year ago I was on my way on finishing my 'old book' sketchbook - Number 4, but... I kinda moved different direction. Main efforts goes to game development, artistic efforts are directed to life drawing courses - for autumn 2013 it was figure drawing, now it is portrait drawing. It is more fun and I am also learning new stuff. So I don't really know when Number 4 will get finished. My scanner died in a plumbing flood, so I couldn't scan pages from sketchbook anyway. Taking photos sucks. Hopefully it will not be remembered as Red Book Number 2...
Sketchbook 3 Finsihed!
Another rather smallish sketchbook came to an end. This one had a twist though. The sketchbook has really rough pages and it reacts kind of differently to pencil or polychrome pencil. Great with pastells though.

This one is different kind of beast. Kind of fancy, 128 pages long with hopefully a better paper than the small ones had. Also my avocado died and I replaced it with... this... plant... whatever it is.

Well... it was also 170 pages(that is 30 pages long) shorter than the previous one :]
Anyway It lasted longer than I would have wanted... The goal was to only portraits and fill it quickly... and it took me quite some time...also I will probably continue with portraits...I STILL SUCK GODDAMMIT...
